Hersh is Co-Chief Investment Officer and a Portfolio Manager for the Income Solutions team that manages the Dividend Strategy products, in addition to managing numerous private portfolios and retirement funds.

Hersh began his career with a predecessor organization in 1969 as a portfolio manager and has 48 years of industry experience. He was appointed CIO of ClearBridge's predecessor firm in 2004. He is a member of the ClearBridge Investments Management and Risk Management Committees.

Hersh received his BA from Western Reserve University in 1962 (now Case Western Reserve University), and earned a PhD in Psychology from Tufts University in 1966. Hersh spends his spare time cooking and collecting American prints from the Depression era. He stays in shape by jogging, playing softball and hiking. Raised in Cleveland, he is an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians, the Cleveland Browns and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
