2018 Impact Report Highlights Power of Engagement

March 28, 2019

ClearBridge's 2018 Impact Report, "Enhancing Fundamental Analysis Through ESG Integration and Active Company Engagement," is now available. Our annual report highlights the importance of ESG integration to the firm's fundamental research process and to our roles as an active equity manager and advocate for sustainable company business practices.

Ownership of public equities, amplified through active company engagement and ESG integration, is one of the most powerful ways investors can make an impact. ClearBridge research analysts drive our engagements and integration, maintaining ongoing communications with corporate managements to discuss ESG issues specific to their company or industry and promote best practices.

The 2018 report highlights some of our most pertinent discussions with portfolio companies over the past year. We address the major issues and trends that shaped our discussions, including climate change, gender diversity and increased ESG disclosures, as well as highlight our activities geared to increasing ESG awareness and promoting sustainability on a broad level.
