Brian is a Portfolio Manager on the Small Cap Strategy at ClearBridge Investments. He joined the firm in 2004 and has 26 years of investment industry experience.

Brian began his tenure as a Senior Research Analyst and then Portfolio Manager at Legg Mason Capital Management, which completed its integration into ClearBridge in 2014. He has been a member of the Small Cap Strategy portfolio management team since joining ClearBridge. Prior to joining the firm, he was an Equity Analyst covering gaming, lodging, and leisure firms and a Mutual Fund Analyst at Morningstar; and a Writer/Analyst at the Motley Fool, an online investment service.

Brian received an M.A. in Latin from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a B.A. in Greek and Latin from the University of Minnesota. He is a CFA® charterholder.
